How do you know when summer has arrived in Suncadia? When we host our annual Brews and Brats event, of course.

The day at Nelson Farm Pool started out ominously but dark clouds and a downpour quickly turned into a beautiful sunshiny day. You wouldn’t have known anything was amiss but mere moments before guests began to arrive, Suncadia’s amazing banquets team and hardworking managers hopped out from under cover just as the drizzle was ending to complete setup. Within half an hour the sun was out in full force and everything had dried out.

The sold-out event featured seven local craft breweries, with each bringing at least two different types of their beer, as well as tasty bites including bratwurst and hot dogs, mini pretzel bites, plus fruit

At Suncadia, you step out of urban life and into something that’s all too rare: a place where you know your neighbors instead of just passing them on the way to work. And as visits become longer and more frequent, you get to know the people who help shape Suncadia into a community you hold close to your heart. You’re on a first-name basis with the yoga instructor, the one who has helped you with that difficult pose you’ve been attempting for years. You know the Fifty-6 Degrees Lounge barman who makes your cocktail just the way you like it, and the concierge who always recommends exactly the kind of activity your kids will love.

There was much to celebrate over the weekend as we welcomed 10 new families to the Suncadia community and debuted the brand new swimming pool at Nelson Farm!

On the morning of May 19th, we welcomed dozens of families eager to learn more about River Ridge, a new gated enclave in the heart of Nelson Preserve where the emerald forest and the Cle Elum River meet. Joining the six families who purchased at a previous River Ridge event, an additional 10 families selected their dream homesites, which feature some of the best views in the Preserve. With 16 families ready to build their homes—and only eight more homesites available in Phase 1—we are thrilled to see River Ridge grow into a tight-knit community where active pursuits and contemporary

It’s no accident that many homeowners’ happy memories of Suncadia are filled with sunshine. Located on the sunny eastern slopes of the commanding Cascades, Seattle’s backyard escape enjoys 200+ days of sunshine per year—significantly more than Seattle. And since it’s just 80 miles from the city, you don’t spend time getting here; you spend time being here.

If you’re considering buying a home in our mountain playground, add May 20th to your calendar. That Sunday we are hosting a special Home Tour event and showcasing a collection of open houses, each one entirely unique yet a perfect escape when the coastal rain feels endless. Home highlights include gourmet kitchens, elegant finishes throughout, generous indoor/outdoor spaces for entertaining

If finding the perfect Suncadia property is a dream come true, then finding the right person to make that happen is equally important. At Suncadia, we have a team of brokers who are as passionate about the resort and community they work at as they are about helping families find their dream home. This week, we want to introduce you to Nanci Koss and Corey Atherton.

An avid horseback rider, biker, and hiker, Nanci hails from Northern Virginia and lived all across the East Coast before settling in the Pacific Northwest 12 years ago. Corey grew up in the Montana Rockies and also has a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He and his family spend all their free time exploring Suncadia’s extensive trail system, its parks and the Cle Elum river

Building a custom designed house probably ranks high on every homeowner’s dream list. At Suncadia, we know how important it is for members of our community to build a home they will love for years to come, one that fits their lifestyle and that they are happy to come home to weekend after weekend. That’s why we have partnered with some of the best home builders in Washington.

Meet Semi Bird, General Manager at Patriot Builders, a company where every project takes on a client-centric approach. Bird, who served in the military for 24 years, received his formal training in civil engineering and construction through the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Engineer. Five years ago, Bird established Patriot Builders and as a Suncadia owner himself, he’s excited to

This past weekend we wrapped up the 4th annual Real Estate Expo, which took place at the Lodge on April 7. The event drew around 225 guests, some of them current Suncadia homeowners and many others curious about our sunny mountainside community, what it’s like buying a homesite here and the even more exciting prospect of building or decorating a dream home.

Suncadia’s featured builders, architects, landscape designers and many others were on hand to answer questions, give advice, and discuss project ideas. A popular booth at the event was the Seattle Hot Tub Company, which displayed a hot tub at the event’s entrance and inside the event space. With relaxation in mind, many attendees made their way to meet Glade Springs Spa therapists, who offered
