Its private residential enclave, Tumble Creek, is equally beloved by those familiar. Members of this gated neighborhood and its club have the best of both worlds. Their own exclusive 2,600-acre haven includes Tom Doak golf, trails, parks, and extensive social programming. Plus they can enjoy all the countless resort amenities at Suncadia. Summer in Cle Elum means clear blue skies, bright sunshine and of course, the annual Father’s Day celebration that is known to one and all as Brews and Brats.

With clear skies and beautiful sunshine setting the scene, the much-anticipated event was once again held at Nelson Farm Pool, the social hub of Nelson Preserve–a place that reflects the natural ease of the neighborhood and is surrounded by panoramic vistas of the cascade Mountains. Brews and Brats was hosted by the Suncadia’s real estate team and attended by over a hundred guests of all ages, eager to kick-off what promised to be an easygoing but action-packed gathering.

There was plenty to keep everyone occupied, including tables laden with delicious snacks like beer-braised

At Suncadia, you step out of urban life and into something that’s all too rare: a place where you know your neighbors instead of just passing them on the way to work. And as visits become longer and more frequent, you get to know the people who help shape Suncadia into a community you hold close to your heart. You’re on a first-name basis with the yoga instructor, the one who has helped you with that difficult pose you’ve been attempting for years. You know the Fifty-6 Degrees Lounge barman who makes your cocktail just the way you like it, and the concierge who always recommends exactly the kind of activity your kids will love.

Building a custom-designed home probably ranks high on every homeowner’s dream list. At Suncadia, we know how important it is for members of our community to build a home they will love for years to come, one that fits their lifestyle and that they are happy to come home to weekend after weekend. That’s why we have partnered with some of the best home builders and architects in Cle Elum and across Washington. Meet Jeff Hansel of Swiftwater Custom Homes.

There are Suncadia days when you’ll relax and maybe even just laze about in luxury. Then there are days when your appetite turns to the chance of adventure and discovery of what lies just beyond our gates. A short drive our bike ride from our community is Cle Elum, a charming walking district featuring historic buildings, cafes, and shops—the kind of  independent-run businesses we love to support whenever possible. One such business is 509 Bake House where the owners, Travis and Desiree Harris, create delicious cakes and cupcakes. Here, the couple tells us about their bakery.

Starting From Scratch

Both Desiree, my wife, and I are paramedics. After we got married, she quit and stayed home with the kids for eight years then decided to turn her art
